Dr. Sanjay N. Patil is a senior geoscientist with over 30 years of academic, research, and consultancy experience in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, and geospatial analysis. As Professor and Head of the Department of Applied Geology at KBC North Maharashtra University, he has led numerous research initiatives in groundwater assessment, hydrogeochemistry, environmental monitoring, and land-use studies.
With 84 research publications, Dr. Patil brings strong analytical expertise in groundwater quality evaluation, aquifer characterization, environmental impact assessment, and geostatistical data interpretation. His work has contributed significantly to regional water resource planning and environmental policy.
He has served as an Expert Member on the State Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC-1) for the Ministry of Environment & Forests and contributed to government bodies such as Balbharati Textbook Committees and District Environmental Committees. These roles highlight his strength as a scientific adviser and policy consultant.
