Dr. Nita V. Patil is an experienced academic with over 20 years of expertise in Information Technology, specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Information Extraction. As an Assistant Professor at the School of Computer Sciences, KBC North Maharashtra University, she has strong expertise in language technologies, including Named Entity Recognition, POS tagging, speech recognition, and machine-learning–based NLP models for Indian languages.
She has successfully led and contributed to government-funded research projects supported by agencies such as the Rajiv Gandhi Science & Technology Commission, Government of Maharashtra. With extensive publications in reputed international journals and conferences, Dr. Patil has made significant contributions to AI-driven language technologies, regional language computing, applied research, and advanced computing education.
